History:
In 1976, our transportation was one bus in one community. Today Western Washtenaw Area Value Express (WAVE) operates 15 vehicles to serve all of Western Washtenaw County! We are proud to partner with municipalities, townships, businesses, and nonprofits to get people where they need to go with fixed routes, door-to-door services, and shuttles. "Rides for All" - The WAVE Bus provides rides for all living and traveling in greater Western Washtenaw to the rest of the county.

WAVE offers several transportation programs:
- Door-to-Door throughout Western Washtenaw to anywhere in Washtenaw County
- Free Door to Chelsea to Door service for Manchester and Stockbridge
- Chelsea—Dexter—Ann Arbor and Jackson Road fixed route Connectors
- Downtown Chelsea free shuttle
- Discounts for older people, people with disabilities, low income, and children through 12th grade.
The WAVE Bus provides rides for all living and traveling in greater Western Washtenaw to the rest of the county.
